The Anglican church of St Andrew & St Mary is Grantchester’s parish church and dates from the fourteenth century. It was famously referred to by Rupert Brooke: ‘Stands the Church clock at ten to three? And is there honey still for tea?’. More details about the church, along with times of services can be found here.

Could you please tell me if this church was Catholic at one point.
Thanks for your help,
Robert Gogna
The church was originally built in the 11th century, which means it pre-dates the Church of England – and therefore must have been a Roman Catholic church for the first five hundred or so years of its existence.
