There are three non-political entities that have an impact on life in Grantchester:

• King’s College Cambridge owns much of the land in the parish
• Savills Cambridge represents King’s College
• The Trumpington Estate farms much of the land in the parish and is managed by David Knott

These organisations work with the Parish Council to provide some of the amenities that residents and visitors enjoy such as the village car park and permissive access rights.
